A Game of Coming Home

A paper fortune teller ritual game for divining an adventurer's return home.

This is a ritual to be performed when returning home after a long, difficult journey. It is meant to be played with two actors. One player, the Fortunate, plays a character who is returning home, while the other plays the Reader: an oracle laying out their fate.

Rarely is time spent on the home life of adventurers. Behind their struggles and suffering are the lives of their loved ones. Happy lives. Mundane lives. Returning home means integrating into a life lacking the violence that they have had to make peace with.
