Weekend Wizards Devlog #1


This is an archived devlog originally posted 1/26/2025 on my Tumblr. I'm adding it here so that the devlogs on both pages will be synced.

After spending about a week on other projects I'm back to working on Weekend Wizards. I am keeping an eye out for other zine sized game jams since that was a lot of fun and let me stretch my legs on formatting and releasing projects.

My goals for this week is to finalize the player content so I can get some people's eyes on it. The GM sections will hopefully have enough done by then that people could actually play it if they wanted. All of the text will be fairly bare bones since I haven't gotten around to flavoring anything yet, but it should be enough to get an idea of how it would play.

I do need to write a general game introduction. Every one I've written up to this point hasn't been satisfactory in conveying the vibe of the game. The whole mechanical introduction needs to be rewritten also, but that will only become clear as I start to put together the first doc.

I almost forgot! I'm still looking for artists! I only really need a cover image for the WIP for now, but if anyone knows anyone with open commissions and a pension for wacky fantasy art send them my way!
